OnGuard DataExchange, the second-generation tool used for bi-directional data transfer can create value in any system by offering to significantly reduce cardholder entry and process times. In many cases cardholders already have records indicative of their current work status and their identity housed in another database. DataExchange allows specific information entered about cardholders to automatically populate their OnGuard cardholder screen. Doing this brings the process of badging new employees down to a very simple and structured activity. In most cases custom scripts can be developed to instruct the DataExchange interface process. Typical DataExchange projects involve databases such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, and JD Edwards. Interfaces to custom and in-house databases are also available.
