Version Upgrades

For all sites needing to upgrade the version of OnGuard they are using, a Lenel Project Manager can be on hand to perform, assist, or observe the activity to ensure proper procedure and to address issues related to the upgrade.

Operating System Upgrades

As Lenel has traditionally followed Microsoft's Windows support, a Lenel Project Manager can handle operating system upgrades as well. Since OnGuard 2002 runs exclusively on Windows 2000/XP, upgrades from prior versions may need to first have an operating system upgrade.

Server Swap-outs and Redundancy

In cases where a PC's performance is not optimal or an IT department is standardizing on an alternate brand, it is possible to have your OnGuard system housed on a new server. It's also common to have additional layers of redundancy built for security purposes and data safety. It may be necessary to add additional servers (NEC, Microsoft Clustering) to maximize system protection. Lenel Project Managers are experienced in both swap-outs and redundancy set-up and can be on hand to perform, assist, or observe in the process.

Enterprise Migration

Many multi-site systems have grown to the point where a multi-regional, multi-server approach is most conducive to their security operation. Existing OnGuard PRO systems can be upgraded to OnGuard Enterprise, allowing for autonomous regional operations, central database storage facilities, multi-database synchronization, scalability for multinational sites. A Lenel Project Manager can assist in managing this upgrade and bringing the OnGuard system to the enterprise level.
